Steelaris: Unleashing the Superhero Spirit - A Photobook Journey of Strength and Unity
As a design agency, we at DWHQ are passionate about designing compelling visuals that bring our client's stories to life. In collaboration with Steelaris, a prominent steel company, we embarked on a journey to capture the memories and unique characters of their staff in a photobook format. Our goal was to showcase their strength and unity as a team, particularly during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this, we infused the Photobook with a superhero theme, creating an engaging and empowering narrative.
For the Steelaris Photobook, we drew inspiration from the world of superheroes, aligning it with the strength and resilience exhibited by the Steelaris staff. By depicting each staff member as a superhero made of steel, we symbolized their unwavering dedication and unique qualities. This design approach not only captured their strong character but also emphasized their collective teamwork, essential in navigating the challenges faced during the pandemic.
The Steelaris Photobook showcases its content in a handy A5 landscape hardcover format, providing readers with a compact yet visually impactful experience. This landscape orientation allowed us to showcase vibrant and dynamic visuals prominently.
To bring the Steelaris staff to life, we created vibrant and expressive caricature cartoons. Each staff member was meticulously illustrated, highlighting their unique features and personality traits. In line with the superhero theme, we portrayed them as solid and invincible characters, emphasizing their resilience and dedication to their work.
Each page of the photobook presents a different chapter, capturing memorable moments and celebrating the unity of the Steelaris team. We carefully curated the content to showcase their collective spirit and unwavering commitment during the COVID-19 period. By incorporating comic-style quotes, we injected humour and personality into the narrative, further enriching the overall experience.
Through the superhero-inspired concept, character caricatures, comic-style graphics, and engaging storytelling, we successfully captured the memories and characters of the Steelaris staff. This Photobook not only serves as a visual showcase but also reflects the remarkable journey and achievements of the Steelaris team.
